About Me



I have worked as a mental health therapist since 2008. I provide services to individuals, couples, and groups. I specialize in culturally competent treatment for the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized communities. I have focused my work on the various aspects of sexual identity, gender identity, internalized homophobia, and other common problems members of the LGBTQ+ community face. I have focused on working with the LGBTQ+ community since 2008. Further, I focus on treatment of depression, anxiety, adjustment, ADHD, addictions, and health related problems.

I practice from a humanistic approach, with the belief that as humans we are more than the sum of our parts, and we all strive towards self-actualization or living up to our full potential. I believe that understanding you and your experiences, the meaning you place on these experiences are involved in your growing, teaching, and learning. I believe your self-perception and personal meaning attached to experiences are important, and examine conscious choices, responses to internal needs, and current circumstances to be important in shaping your behaviors.

I received a master degree in counseling psychology in 2009 and a doctorate in clinical psychology in 2013 from Pacific University, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Fresno City College in Fresno California in 2013. I have worked in a variety of community and residential mental health settings, have taught psychology since 2010, and have done organizational consulting work as part of my master degree training. I have been a licenced psychologist by the State of Oregon starting in 2019.
